Scott joined Keoghs in 2009. He has extensive experience of coverage disputes across a range of lines of business including property/business interruption, product liability, motor and reinsurance. He takes a particular interest in technical reinsurance issues and regularly reviews and drafts wordings for reinsurer clients.
Scott’s practice routinely involves disputes involving multiple insurers, high value claims and/or media attention. He acts for clients in the High Court (Commercial Court and TCC), arbitrations and mediations. Since 2022 he has focused on London market work, including a secondment in a leading insurer’s wordings department.
Scott regularly reports on changes in the law which affect the reinsurance market and is especially well known for his expertise in motor insurance. Scott also regularly delivers lectures and training seminars on reinsurance topics.
