Lauranne is an Associate and the safeguarding lead within the abuse team. She has been with Keoghs for over 12 years and has acted exclusively in all matters relating to non-recent and recent allegations of abuse for the past 6 years involving both child and adult victims.

Lauranne has extensive experience of handling claims on behalf of insurers, religious organisations, charities, and the Ministry of Defence and the specific issues which arise in these claims. She has particular experience of dealing with matters on behalf of uninsured organisations, providing them with guidance, support and training. She combines technical and strategic legal advice in respect of limitation, vicarious liability, consent, credibility, and data protection with a client focused understanding of practical and reputational issues.

Lauranne is particularly passionate about issues of safeguarding and is in a unique position to be able to provide safeguarding advice and guidance to organisations as well as being able to protect the organisations position as a result of her comprehensive understanding of the civil claims process. She is also able to provide support in safeguarding practice in relation to managing allegations, minimising risks, safer recruitment, and culture, as well as conducting audits and reviews of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory obligations. Lauranne has successfully completed the NSPCC designated safeguarding officer training for England and all devolved nations and is also a member of the Safeguarding and Child Protection Association (SACPA). She also hosts the Safeguarding Matters podcast for Keoghs and regularly posts articles and updates on current safeguarding practice.
