Daniel joined Keoghs in 2017 and is a Partner within the London office. Prior to joining Keoghs, Daniel had been based at a national Defendant insurance firm since 2005. He was originally called to the Bar at Gray’s Inn before later converting to a qualified Solicitor in 2010.
Daniel has over 15 years’ experience of specialising in defending high value, technical, multi-party disputes, working on behalf of insurers, design and build contractors, architects, engineers and other types of construction professionals. Daniel is routinely instructed to advise on and handle cases being brought under the Pre Action Protocol through to litigation in the Technology and Construction Courts, including providing commercial advice on all aspects of dispute resolution and resolving disputes by means of ADR, including at mediation. Past and recent cases include defending a £70m+ value cladding and fire safety dispute, acting for a firm of geotechnical engineers in relation to a subterranean basement that flooded resulting in a £10m+ loss and acting for a firm of façade engineers facing a claim following alleged defects with the glass façade of a high rise set of prestigious apartments. Daniel is also routinely instructed to advise insurers on coverage matters arising out of all types of insurance policies.
