We want you to join Keoghs for more than a role - we will therefore invest in your development from day one and give you the opportunity to build a career with us.
When you first join Keoghs we will take you through a structured on-boarding programme to help you understand our business and the basics of your role. We know everyone is different and that development requirements are different depending upon your existing knowledge, skills, experience and capability. So after learning the basics you will take control of your own development and work with your line manager to make sure your development plan is right for you.
I've always been afforded the opportunity to expand my technical knowledge and take on further responsibilities, which has allowed me to progress my career continuously.

Developing yourself and supporting the people around you to develop is a key part of the Keoghs culture so from day one you will benefit from working with and learning from your colleagues in your team. You will also have access to our digital learning platform which hosts learning to help you develop in your current role as well as learn about and develop you towards future roles. On our learning platform you will experience content produced by Keoghs and your team as well as relevant content from outside of Keoghs to aid the development areas in your development plan which you have agreed with your line manager. Our platform not only allows you to access relevant content but you can share your knowledge with other people on it too!
We want you to continually develop so our specialists regularly share their knowledge and expertise in training sessions and in some areas we use external barristers to help you maintain your professional knowledge. We have talent pathways in many areas of the firm enabling people to grow their skills and capability in their current team in a planned manner working with one of our lead lawyers.
I have received mentoring and support from people across the business which has allowed me to steer my career in the way I have wanted to.

If you are at the beginning of your career you can use our sponsorship policy to gain a professional qualification which will help you in the next step in your career. We also regularly recruit trainee solicitors from our internal talent pool and we were one of the first law firms to help people progress towards qualifying as a solicitor when they did not hold either the LPC or GDL!
