March 2023 – An update from our CEO, Allison Carr

As we finalised our half-year performance, I thought it was a great opportunity to reflect on some of our people successes so far this financial year.

We have welcomed 259 new colleagues into Keoghs, including 16 lateral hires at partner level, who will all support our continued growth arising from new client wins and work streams 

Our continued commitment to providing development and career progression opportunities to support internal growth with:

  • Almost 200 colleagues having been supported in securing new roles within the business (40% of all vacancies);
  • Offering 14 graduate solicitor apprenticeships and 15 training contracts which will commence later this year; and
  • The promotion of 26 people to Associate and shortly being able to confirm 11 new Partner promotions.

It was great to be able to celebrate with a number of colleagues at the start of the year who reached anniversary milestones; we saw 18 people reach their 20 year anniversary, 63 people reach their 10 year anniversary and a further 104 people reach their 5 year anniversary.  This is a great achievement in the modern working environment and highlights the level of committed and experienced colleagues we work alongside.

Employee engagement has also remained strong in what is a challenging time for all; with extremely positive scores in our ENPS surveys highlighting that our people are proud to work for Keoghs, are highly committed to the business, and intend to continue their employment journey with us.

Last but not least, we are pleased to have again been formally recognised with continued Legal 500 rankings, including some new entrants, which is testament to the level of expertise and talent we have in the business.
