Joanna leads a Catastrophic Injury team in the Complex Injury department in Newcastle dealing mostly with claims arising from serious road traffic accidents and solely with injuries which are life-changing in nature.
Joanna secured a training contract whilst still in her second year of university and joined the firm as soon as she had completed her LPC in 2010. She has worked under Jamie McCabe for many years and gained extensive experience handling claims of the greatest value and severity for many of the company’s key insurance clients.
“The work we receive from clients is hugely varied and stimulating; we are often instructed immediately after an accident takes place and manage the claims hand in hand with our client from cradle to grave. It is a real team sport. We are specialists in all aspects of our clients’ work and have a deep commercial understanding of the insurance businesses they run”.
The team in Newcastle have worked together for many years and have grown and flourished since joining Keoghs in September 2019. “It is a privilege to be part of a company with such a wealth of knowledge and experience. Keoghs, and the wider Davies Group, offer huge opportunities for growth and development in a people centred culture where we are supported as individuals. I am very grateful for the many hundreds of hours of training and mentoring invested by those around me and am committed to ensuring that those coming after me have the same dedicated teaching and support throughout their journey at Keoghs."

I really enjoy the work that we do and find it rewarding seeing how cases progress, knowing that I continue to play a part throughout the life of each case I work on.
